Yoga Session at Jammu Airport Ahead of International Yoga Day

Jammu, June 19: A special yoga session was organized at Jammu Airport ahead of International Yoga Day. Airport officials, CISF personnel, security staff, and airport employees participated enthusiastically. Together, they practiced various yoga exercises and understood the significance of yoga.

On this occasion, Jammu Airport Director Devendra Yadav stated that yoga has become an essential part of their daily routine. He mentioned that the airport is associated with the Ministry of AYUSH’s ‘Yoga 365’ initiative. As part of this initiative, daily yoga camps are being held at Jammu Airport from June 16 to June 21, every morning from 6 AM to 7 AM.

Devendra Yadav emphasized, “All agencies working at the airport have participated in this yoga camp in large numbers and with great enthusiasm. The aviation sector is quite challenging and busy. Therefore, maintaining a better work-life balance through yoga is crucial. This camp has been organized with that objective in mind.”

He added that yoga is not limited to mental health; it is also vital for better performance, physical health, and mental balance. Yoga is the most effective means of establishing harmony between the body, mind, and intellect.

Yoga instructor Konika Bhagat noted that this year’s theme for International Yoga Day is ‘Healthy Aging.’ She stated that the Prime Minister’s initiative is being appreciated worldwide, with millions incorporating yoga into their lifestyles.

Konika Bhagat urged people to adopt yoga, saying, “If we practice yoga regularly, the aging process will remain healthy. We won’t even realize when we grow old. Practice yoga, stay healthy, and inspire those around you to do the same.”
