Bhopal, June 17: In preparation for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh reviewed the state’s readiness on Tuesday. He directed government officials to ensure a “transparent, secure, and error-free operation” at all examination centers. The exam is scheduled for June 21.
While chairing a high-level review meeting via video conference from the ministry, the Chief Minister emphasized that the credibility of a national-level exam relies on precise planning and flawless implementation.
In a statement, Yadav noted that NEET is a national examination. All preparations must be completed in advance, and the exam should be conducted with complete transparency. There should be no lapses or errors at any level.
The exam will take place across 283 centers spread over 30 districts in the state, with the highest number of centers located in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur.
Scheduled from 2 PM to 5:15 PM on June 21, the exam will be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode. Given the stringent monitoring of competitive exams in recent years, the Chief Minister instructed officials to enhance security measures. He mandated that biometric verification systems, CCTV cameras, and jammers be installed at all exam centers by June 19.
Yadav also ordered a trial run of the equipment a day before the exam. The review meeting paid special attention to Jabalpur, where President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit on the same day.
The Chief Minister directed district administration and police officials to devise a comprehensive traffic management plan to ensure candidates reach their exam centers without delay.
He added that the International Yoga Day events coincide with the exam, and administrative arrangements should be made to prevent any inconvenience to students.
Yadav stressed that no student should face difficulties due to transportation or traffic issues. If necessary, administrative and police officials should assist students in reaching their exam centers using available government resources.
