Patna, August 27: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for young individuals aspiring to work in a prestigious educational institution. Nalanda University has officially announced the recruitment of eligible candidates for teaching positions across its various schools and departments.
The university is looking to fill 19 vacancies, which include 4 Professor positions, 6 Associate Professors, and 9 Assistant Professors. The departments with openings for Professors are Philosophy, Sanskrit, Data Science and AI, and Science, Technology and Policy Studies, with one position each. For Associate Professors, the vacancies are in Buddhist Studies, Hindu Studies, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Data Science and AI, and Science, Technology and Policy Studies, again with one position in each. The Assistant Professors’ positions are distributed among Buddhist Studies, Hindu Studies, Philosophy, and Sanskrit, with two positions in the latter two fields and one in Data Science and AI.
The application process for these positions began on August 22 and will close on September 15. Candidates interested in applying can complete their registration process by visiting the official Nalanda University website and following the application link provided in the notification for their respective posts.
Applicants for the Professor role must possess a strong academic record at the Master’s level from a recognized institution or university, along with a Ph.D. or post-doctoral research experience, and international teaching experience. They should also have 3 to 7 years of excellent teaching experience, including solid guidance in doctoral and post-doctoral research.
For Associate Professors, candidates should have a Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the relevant subject, a strong academic record at the Master’s level, and at least 3 to 5 years of teaching and research experience at national and international levels, including guidance in doctoral research.
Assistant Professors must hold a Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university, with a minimum of 60% marks at the Master’s level. They should be actively involved in research and have evidence of published work, including at least 3 to 5 publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals at both national and international levels.
Candidates will be selected based on application screening, shortlisting, written tests, seminars/presentations, and interviews. The salary for Professors will range from $30,000 to $45,000, for Associate Professors from $20,000 to $35,000, and for Assistant Professors from $15,000 to $25,000 annually. Additionally, candidates will receive other benefits and allowances.
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹500 online. It is important to note that the application form will only be accepted after the registration fee has been paid.
