Raipur, June 13: At the ‘Chhattisgarh Investor Connect’ event held in Hyderabad, the state received investment proposals totaling ₹9,580 crore from various sectors. These proposals are expected to create over 7,800 direct and indirect jobs in the region. The event aimed to promote industrial investment in Chhattisgarh and attract new investors.
During the event, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented ‘Invitation to Invest’ offer letters to seven major companies interested in investing in Chhattisgarh. The companies involved are linked to critical sectors such as data centers, cement, semiconductor and GPU infrastructure, solar energy equipment manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and dairy processing. The state government believes these investments will accelerate industrial growth and enhance employment opportunities for the youth.
In his address to prominent industrialists and investors, Chief Minister Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as a growth engine for a developed India. He assured that the state government is committed to providing a conducive industrial environment, rolling out the ‘red carpet’ for investors. He urged the business community to invest in Chhattisgarh and join the development journey.
The event was attended by Chhattisgarh’s Commerce and Industry Minister Lakh Lal Devangan, along with several prominent industrialists, investors, and business representatives from South India. After the event, Minister Devangan stated that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, the state is consistently progressing towards development.
He noted that the benefits of the Investor Connect event will extend to various industrial sectors in the state. Continuous efforts are being made on the new industrial policy, and while investment proposals have been received before, this is the first time such a substantial amount has been proposed.
Meanwhile, in response to the nomination controversy involving Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma stated that the nomination papers were not filled out according to the prescribed format, lacking essential information, particularly concerning criminal cases. He emphasized that failure to provide necessary information would naturally lead to the rejection of the nomination. Transparency and adherence to rules are essential in a democracy, and the law will operate according to its established provisions.
