New Delhi, September 3: Vice President and ex-officio Chancellor of Punjab University, C.P. Radhakrishnan, will visit Punjab University in Chandigarh on September 4, Friday.
During his visit, the Vice President will inaugurate the advanced equipment facility at the SAIFF/CIL (Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility/Central Instrumentation Laboratory). He will also launch the Punjab University Technical Innovation Platform, a significant step aimed at strengthening the university’s research, innovation, and startup ecosystem.
Earlier, Vice President Radhakrishnan arrived in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday, where he participated in the third convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur. During this event, he urged graduating students to serve the nation with dedication and integrity.
Addressing the ceremony, he emphasized that convocation is not just a celebration of achievements but also a moment of responsibility. He reminded students that their degrees symbolize not only academic success but also their responsibility towards the lives and health of people.
The Vice President highlighted AIIMS Raipur as a symbol of change, discussing its achievements in advanced healthcare, research, and transplantation, including the state’s first swap kidney transplant.
Additionally, on Tuesday, September 1, the Vice President visited the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi to express his condolences over the passing of Norway’s late King Harald V. He also signed the condolence book at the embassy, conveying heartfelt sympathies from the Government of India and its people to the Norwegian royal family and its citizens.
