Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Approves AI Security Platform and Cyber Experts for Cyber Cell

Bhopal, June 12: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced several measures on Friday aimed at strengthening the state’s police system and investigative framework. These initiatives include a new investigation allowance for police personnel and enhancements to the mechanisms for tackling cybercrime.

While reviewing the Home Department, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to equipping the police force with modern resources to address emerging challenges.

He stated that, in response to changing times, the police force will receive the necessary resources to advance their systems and tackle new challenges effectively. Yadav instructed police personnel at all levels to work with vigilance and proactivity to maintain law and order across the state.

Officials reported that the proposed investigation allowance will assist officers in covering expenses incurred during criminal investigations. This includes visits to crime scenes, evidence collection, photography and videography, digital forensics, and arrangements for transportation and meals for suspects, witnesses, and victims.

In light of the increasing threat of cybercrime and the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI), the Chief Minister approved the appointment of IT consultants and cyber experts to strengthen the state cyber cell.

The meeting also approved the AI-based platform ‘Safeguard MP,’ designed to enhance the safety of senior citizens, women, and other vulnerable groups.

Preparations for the Simhastha 2028 event in Ujjain were also reviewed. Yadav emphasized the need for a long-term plan to ensure that the infrastructure developed for the religious gathering continues to serve the city afterward.

He stated that control rooms and other arrangements for Simhastha should be established to ensure their lasting significance and impact. Ujjain is home to several sacred sites, including the Baba Mahakal Temple, so all arrangements should be developed as permanent infrastructure.

The meeting also reviewed proposals for establishing the Madhya Pradesh Police Selection and Recruitment Board, deploying mobile units for crime scenes at the district level, and providing special allowances for VVIP duties.

Plans to strengthen the ATS, STF, and Hawk Force through advanced training facilities were also discussed.
