Kuwait, September 3: The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the ongoing attacks from Iran, labeling them as an open violation of the country’s sovereignty. The ministry described the attacks, which occurred early Thursday, as a direct threat to Kuwait’s security and stability.
The ministry stated that these assaults targeted the safety of citizens and residents, constituting a serious breach of international law.
In a statement, the ministry remarked, “The continuation of these brazen attacks reflects a hostile attitude and represents a dangerous escalation that jeopardizes regional security and stability.”
Kuwait emphasized that such attacks systematically undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and establishing peace in the region.
The Foreign Ministry clarified that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty, ensure national security, and protect its territory and vital installations from any attack or threat.
This condemnation follows the resumption of U.S. military strikes against Iran on Tuesday, after which Iran launched missile and drone attacks on U.S. bases located in Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, and Bahrain.
Meanwhile, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, six members of the Iranian navy were killed in recent U.S. attacks over the past few days.
Previously, Iran’s Health Ministry reported that since the U.S. bombing campaign resumed on August 30, at least 18 Iranian citizens have died, and over 140 have been injured, with a significant number of casualties being women and children.
On the other hand, the U.S. military stated that it is aware of these reports but has never intentionally targeted civilians.
