Burhanpur Police Prepared for Monsoon Emergencies: SP Ashutosh Bagri Issues Guidelines

Burhanpur, July 1: The police and district administration are fully prepared to handle any emergencies related to the monsoon season and rainfall. Residents have been advised to stay away from waterlogged areas and to follow official safety guidelines. Burhanpur’s Superintendent of Police, Ashutosh Bagri, shared this advice and provided insights into the administration’s preparations during a conversation with a news agency on Wednesday.

Bagri stated that the police administration has been given clear instructions to gather information about all nearby rivers and streams. They are working with village councils to raise public awareness, ensuring that the message reaches the community about the potential dangers of such situations. Additionally, boards will be installed to further educate the public.

He emphasized the need to prepare members of the municipal and village defense committees. A comprehensive plan has been established to prevent any incidents. The police are already monitoring major bridges closely, and meetings with police officials regarding this matter have taken place. Directives have also been issued, and continuous surveillance is being maintained.

Furthermore, he mentioned that besides the Home Guard, police officers have received training to handle various disasters. They are also in contact with local swimmers to assist in case of any emergencies. A special seven-day training program was previously organized, which included disaster management as a key topic aimed at raising public awareness about natural disasters.

Superintendent Ashutosh Bagri warned that if individuals continue to ignore repeated warnings, action will be taken against them as per established regulations.
