BJP President Nitin Naveen Pays Tribute to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee

New Delhi, June 23: Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), paid tribute on Tuesday to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, on the occasion of his death anniversary.

The Karol Bagh district BJP organized a workers’ conference, which included a seminar discussing Mukherjee’s life and contributions.

While addressing the seminar, Nitin Naveen highlighted Mukherjee’s legacy. He noted that Mukherjee resigned from the central cabinet, prioritizing national interests, and later founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

The BJP President emphasized Mukherjee’s movement to keep Kashmir an integral part of India, stating that he made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation’s interests.

Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra and BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj also shared their thoughts during the event.

The seminar was chaired by District BJP President Virendra Babbar, with notable attendees including State BJP General Secretary Vishnu Mittal, Vice President Vinay Rawat, MLA Harish Khurana, Umang Bajaj, and former MLA Anil Bajpai.

Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also paid tribute to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his 73rd death anniversary.

She remarked that Mukherjee had championed the slogan “One Nation, One Constitution,” and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled his vision by abrogating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at the event held at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Memorial near Delhi Gate, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the BJP’s victory in the West Bengal assembly elections post-independence would be a true tribute to Mukherjee.

She emphasized that today is a day to remember the great personality who sowed the seeds of the Jana Sangh, which has now grown to provide shade to the entire nation as the BJP. Mukherjee’s life serves as an inspiration for all. She urged everyone to work with the spirit of “Nation First,” a principle inspired by Dr. Mukherjee, who was willing to resign from ministerial positions for the country’s benefit.

She called upon the people to carry forward Mukherjee’s message and commit to working for the nation’s interests.
