Lucknow, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : As Uttar Pradesh gears up for assembly elections, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ starting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, September 17. This initiative will run until October 17, during which party workers will visit villages to inform residents about government schemes and accomplishments.
Pal emphasized Modi’s dedication to public service over the past 25 years, highlighting that under his leadership, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, with a growth rate of 7.8%. The campaign aims to extend beyond mere birthday celebrations, focusing instead on serving those in need.
On September 17, blood donation camps will be organized, followed by cleanliness drives. Information about government programs will be disseminated in rural areas, with events promoting Khadi scheduled for October 2. Additionally, programs celebrating Modi’s 25 years in public life as a Chief Minister and Prime Minister will also take place.
The initiative aims to reach marginalized groups, including Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and women from self-help groups. Pal noted that the campaign will not be limited to urban centers but will extend to villages across the state.
Discussing the upcoming BRICS summit, Pal stated that it holds significant importance amid current global challenges, including crises in West Asia and energy shortages. He mentioned that this summit is not just another international meeting but a platform where India can play a crucial role in shaping a new global order. With leaders like China’s Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin attending, the world will be watching closely.
On the recent expulsion of Akash Anand from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Pal referred to it as an internal matter for the party. He remarked that the BSP leadership decides who stays or goes, cautioning that in focusing on others, they might overlook their own leadership issues.
Responding to allegations from Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav about the BJP’s handling of reservations, Pal countered that the public is now aware of the attempts to mislead them during the Lok Sabha elections. He highlighted the Modi government’s initiatives for backward classes and Dalits, asserting that the BJP has made significant strides in integrating these communities into the mainstream.
As for the BJP’s election preparations in Uttar Pradesh, Pal mentioned that the organization remains active. Senior leaders are touring districts, and the Chief Minister is assessing government and party operations in various regions. Following the visit of BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde, senior official B.L. Santosh is also set to visit Uttar Pradesh, with the possibility of national party president Nitin Naveen’s visit as well.
