Anand Dubey Addresses Economic Growth, BRICS Summit, and Cultural Debates

Mumbai, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey recently commented on several pressing issues, including India’s impressive GDP growth of 7.8%, the upcoming BRICS summit, and the ongoing debate regarding Muslim participation in Garba festivities. He emphasized that being in opposition does not necessitate politicizing every issue.

In a discussion, Dubey expressed pride in India’s recognition as a potential economic engine on the global stage. He noted that while domestic politics can be contentious, it is essential to view India’s achievements positively, especially amid global conflicts and tensions. He likened India’s steady progress to a “tortoise’s pace,” asserting that patience ultimately leads to success.

Regarding the BRICS summit, Dubey highlighted the event as a crucial platform for dialogue and cooperation among nations. Leaders from various countries will engage in discussions on trade, climate, and other global challenges. He reminded critics that India hosted the BRICS summit in 2012 and adapted to virtual meetings during the pandemic. The 2026 summit in India is a cause for national pride.

With the potential attendance of leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Dubey expressed optimism about the positive outcomes of their discussions. He welcomed Congress leader Shashi Tharoor‘s acknowledgment of BRICS’s benefits, stating that the group’s expansion from five to eleven nations underscores its global significance. He encouraged India to leverage such platforms for national advantage.

On the topic of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Dubey praised Modi’s respect across the country. He remarked that while celebrating leaders is important, their true responsibility lies in serving the public. Continuous dedication to the people earns lasting respect.

Amid the debate over Muslim participation in Garba, Dubey reiterated that these cultural events should be inclusive. He stated that anyone wishing to join with respect and devotion should be welcomed, but any attempts at disruption or violence should be met with police action. He advocated for mutual understanding and respect among all communities.

Finally, addressing recent controversies surrounding Uddhav Thackeray’s comments, Dubey clarified that his statements have been misinterpreted. He emphasized the importance of understanding and respecting the core values of Hindu and Sanatan traditions, which promote inclusivity and harmony. He affirmed that any disruptive behavior at religious events would be dealt with according to the law.
