Gorakhpur, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : The national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, has made a significant decision regarding the party’s organization in Gorakhpur. The leadership announced the immediate dissolution of both the district and city-level organizations, along with all frontal organizations associated with the party. This action affects party officials and members linked to Gorakhpur from the district to the state level.
According to the order issued by the party, the district president and the entire district executive, as well as the city president and city executive, have been terminated with immediate effect. Additionally, the responsibilities of all district and city frontal organization leaders and their executives have also been revoked.
The scope of this decision is not limited to the local organization in Gorakhpur. The directive also states that all officials and members of the state executive of the Samajwadi Party related to Gorakhpur, as well as those from the frontal organizations at the state level, are to be dissolved immediately.
The party’s order specifies that, with the national president’s approval, the district president of Samajwadi Party Gorakhpur, along with the district executive, city president, city executive, and all officials and members of frontal organizations at both the district and city levels are to be dissolved. Furthermore, officials and members of the state executive of the Samajwadi Party and all frontal organizations linked to Gorakhpur have also been relieved of their duties.
This decision comes in the wake of a dispute that erupted during a press conference held by the SP at the Gorakhpur Journalists Press Club. The conflict, which reportedly began over seating arrangements, escalated into verbal exchanges and physical altercations. There were reports of violence involving a former district president, who was allegedly slapped during the incident.
Following the release of a video documenting the events, the issue quickly gained traction, raising questions about organizational discipline within the party. In response, the leadership decided to undertake a sweeping dissolution of the Gorakhpur organization.
