Bihar Congress Appoints Ajay Kumar Paswan as New Media Head

Patna, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Bihar Congress is undergoing significant organizational changes as it seeks to strengthen its structure following the state assembly elections. On October 4, the All India Congress Committee announced that Ajay Kumar Paswan will take over as the head of the media and publicity department.

A press release issued by K.C. Venugopal, the party’s national general secretary, confirmed that the Congress president has approved Paswan’s appointment, effective immediately. This change comes after Rajesh Rathore, who had been leading the media department for an extended period, steps down from his role.

The restructuring of the media department is seen as a crucial move in light of the upcoming electoral strategies. Paswan now faces the challenge of effectively communicating the party’s activities, policies, and responses to current political issues through the media. Additionally, he will be responsible for countering opposition criticisms and promoting the party’s ideology to the public.

This appointment is part of a broader initiative by the Congress leadership to revamp its organizational structure across various states. Recently, significant changes were also made in Uttar Pradesh, where Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ replaced Ajay Rai as the new state president.
