New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a month-long campaign named ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service. This initiative aims to showcase his political journey as one that has fundamentally transformed governance, welfare programs, national security, and India’s aspirations.
During a press conference at the BJP headquarters, party president Nitin Naveen announced that the campaign will run from September 17 to October 17. It will highlight Modi’s achievements in service, good governance, and public welfare through 12 planned events.
The BJP emphasizes that Modi’s record is not merely about his longevity in power but also about significant governance reforms. Naveen pointed out that the government’s welfare framework is evident in the support provided to 800 million people through food assistance, the inclusion of over 1 billion individuals in social security schemes, the construction of nearly 120 million toilets, the creation of over 40 million homes for the poor, and the administration of 2 billion free COVID-19 vaccine doses.
The party also claims that 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty during his tenure. Naveen compared the current situation to that of 2014, which he described as a period of policy paralysis and economic uncertainty. The BJP now presents India as one of the fastest-growing major economies, arguing that governance has shifted from gradual improvements to a mission-mode approach focused on infrastructure development.
Security is another critical aspect of the campaign. The BJP asserts that the government has strengthened both internal and external security, reduced the impact of left-wing extremism, and assisted over 200 districts previously affected by unrest in returning to normalcy. The party points to Modi’s receipt of 37 global awards as evidence of India’s growing international stature.
The BJP’s narrative extends beyond economic governance. It highlights projects like the Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Somnath, and Mahakal Corridor as examples of a government that integrates development with cultural heritage.
Additionally, the party showcases a shift in economic thinking, moving from manpower to manufacturing power, transforming beneficiaries of welfare schemes into partners in development, and inspiring job seekers to become entrepreneurs. It presents startups, unicorns, defense manufacturing, and the space sector as symbols of this change.
Women’s empowerment is also a significant theme, with the BJP citing initiatives from ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ to ‘Lakshmi Didis’ and the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ to promote greater political participation among women.
