PM Modi to Chair Progress Meeting, Reviewing Key Government Projects

New Delhi, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will convene a progress meeting on Wednesday at 6 PM. Senior officials from various ministries and departments of the central government will participate, along with several central ministers.

The meeting aims to review the progress of important government schemes and projects, focusing on their implementation and any pending matters. Discussions are also expected to cover administrative hurdles and coordination issues between the central and state governments.

“Pragati,” which translates to progress, is a technology-driven platform designed for active governance. It allows the Prime Minister to directly review significant projects, schemes, and outstanding issues linked to both central and state governments. The initiative seeks to expedite project implementation, resolve obstacles, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

During these meetings, the Prime Minister reviews major projects and schemes alongside secretaries from the central government and chief secretaries from the states. Complex issues are escalated to the progress meeting for resolution, facilitating inter-ministerial or center-state problem-solving.

Ahead of the meeting, PM Modi shared a Sanskrit verse on X, emphasizing the value of dedication to duty. He quoted, “Swē swē karmaṇy abhirataḥ saṃsiddhiṃ labhate naraḥ. Swakarmanirataḥ siddhiṃ yathā vindati taṃ śṛṇu.” The essence of this verse conveys that individuals achieve success by remaining committed to their designated duties. The Prime Minister highlighted that those who diligently fulfill their responsibilities can attain the highest satisfaction and success through dedicated work.

Today’s progress meeting is viewed as a vital administrative process, emphasizing the review of key government initiatives and addressing obstacles to their timely implementation.
