BJP Appoints New Leaders for Key States Ahead of Elections

New Delhi, August 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made significant organizational changes by appointing new leaders for several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat. This move comes as the party gears up for upcoming elections and aims to strengthen its organizational activities.

According to the list released by the party, Vinod Tawde, the national general secretary, has been appointed as the in-charge of Uttar Pradesh. This state is crucial for the BJP, and Tawde will now bear the responsibility of fortifying the party’s presence there. Alongside him, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel has been appointed as the co-in-charge for Uttar Pradesh.

In Punjab, the responsibility has been assigned to Satish Punia, also a national general secretary. The BJP faces the challenge of expanding its organization and empowering grassroots workers in Punjab. Punia’s experience will be instrumental in accelerating the party’s political activities in the state.

For Gujarat, BJP MP Tarun Chugh has been appointed as the in-charge. Chugh has been actively involved in the party’s organization for a long time and brings valuable experience in organizational matters. Given that Gujarat is considered a stronghold for the BJP, his appointment is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the party’s effectiveness.

Earlier on Monday, the BJP had released a comprehensive list of new national office bearers, which included prominent names like Smriti Irani, who has been appointed as the national general secretary, marking her return to a key role within the organization.

Other national general secretaries include Vinod Tawde from Maharashtra, Sunil Bansal from Delhi, Biplab Kumar Deb from Tripura, Satish Punia from Rajasthan, Gajendra Patel from Madhya Pradesh, Harish Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh, and Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana. B.L. Santosh from Delhi continues to hold a crucial position as the national general secretary (organization), while Shivprakash from Mumbai and Soudan Singh from Chandigarh serve as national joint general secretaries (organization).

Thirteen leaders have been appointed as national vice-presidents. This list features Vasundhara Raje Scindia from Rajasthan, Tirath Singh Rawat from Uttarakhand, Ram Madhav from Delhi, Baijayant Jay Panda from Odisha, D. Purandeswari from Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Verma from Uttar Pradesh, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi from Gujarat, Bharti Praveen Pawar from Maharashtra, Manpreet Singh Badal from Punjab, Lal Singh Arya from Madhya Pradesh, M.
