Kishanganj, June 14: Bihar Minister Dilip Jayaswal has issued a stern warning to those opposing the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) of the voter list. He stated that any region resisting these updates would see its government come to an end.
This statement comes amid ongoing political disputes in Jharkhand regarding the voter list amendments.
Jayaswal emphasized that wherever there is opposition to the voter list improvements, the government in that area will be dismantled. He remarked that when this process began in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi and his associates took to the streets to protest, but their efforts fizzled out. In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee escalated the situation to the Supreme Court, resulting in the downfall of her government.
He clearly warned, “Wherever there is opposition, the government will be wiped out.”
Supporting the Election Commission’s SIR process, the minister questioned the objection to removing deceased voters from the list. He asserted, “The resources of this country belong to its people. We will show the way to expel infiltrators.”
Additionally, in Kishanganj, he inaugurated a historic exhibition organized by the BJP Youth Front to commemorate 12 years of the Modi government.
Jayaswal highlighted that the exhibition showcases the district’s rich historical heritage and local culture. It aims to connect the youth with their roots while displaying the modern journey of development. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the commitment to a developed India has gained new momentum, and this exhibition serves as a powerful testament to that transformative journey.
