Raipur, July 2: Santosh Pandey, Member of Parliament from Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh, recently highlighted the ‘Ji Ram Ji Yojana’ as a significant initiative for rural development, agriculture, and strengthening local governance. During his one-day visit to Rajnandgaon, he emphasized that this scheme will enhance employment opportunities in villages while promoting water conservation and environmental protection.

In an interview with a news agency, Pandey described the ‘Ji Ram Ji Yojana’ as a highly beneficial initiative. He stated that it serves the interests of villages and agriculture, empowering local governance further. The scheme guarantees 125 days of employment, an increase from the previous 100 days, allowing for more extensive work in water conservation and environmental projects that benefit local communities.

Pandey expressed gratitude to the central leadership for launching the scheme, thanking Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their continuous efforts towards the welfare of the poor. He noted that significant work has been accomplished in the agricultural sector, culminating in this launch.

The initiative aims to promote water conservation, environmental protection, and development projects tailored to local needs in rural areas. It also seeks to empower local councils, facilitating development efforts that benefit farmers and rural residents.

The national launch of the ‘Developed India – Ji Ram Ji Yojana’ took place on Thursday in Mukkuvaripalli village, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh. The event was attended by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Union Minister of State Dr. Chandrashekhar Pemmashani, Kamlesh Paswan, and numerous MPs, MLAs, and thousands of attendees. The program introduced a new model for guaranteeing employment for the country’s poor laborers, farmers, and villages under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with significant financial allocations for village development and a transparent system.
