Unnao, June 14: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership during a media interaction on Sunday. He highlighted the historic achievements the country has made under Modi’s guidance. Maharaj emphasized that Modi’s personality is extraordinary and has won the public’s trust through development, good governance, and welfare initiatives.
He stated, “This is a historic achievement for India and its people. Modi is not an ordinary person; his influence reaches from the ground to the sky.” After serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he became the Prime Minister and is now among the longest-serving leaders since independence. With the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,’ PM Modi has directed the nation’s development in a new way.
Maharaj pointed out that development projects have taken place from Gangotri to Gangasagar and from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. He specifically mentioned improvements in expressways, the Prime Minister’s rural road scheme, and electricity supply in the Unnao region.
Regarding speculations about Trinamool Congress MPs joining BJP, Maharaj remarked that changes in politics are common and depend on the discretion of the MPs involved. He welcomed any MP who wishes to work under PM Modi’s leadership and serve the public as a servant, rather than as a minister or legislator.
On the nomination controversy surrounding Meenakshi Natarajan, the BJP MP stated that if there were any legal errors, the court would take notice. He criticized the act of blaming others for one’s mistakes, asserting that the matter reached the Supreme Court, and if there were any deficiencies, the court would have acted.
Maharaj expressed deep anger over the murder of Sant Milindas in the Bangarmau area and demanded strict action against the culprits. He insisted that the police and administration must conduct an impartial investigation to bring all accused to justice. He assured that the victim’s family would receive justice and that no leniency would be tolerated in this matter. He mentioned that he has also spoken with the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police.
Responding to Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s statement that “if BJP wins in UP, it will be the last election for the country,” Maharaj stated that the Election Commission conducts elections transparently. He accused the Samajwadi Party of engaging in vote theft politics, asserting that the people of Uttar Pradesh trust the leadership of PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On Yadav’s comments regarding fake encounters, Maharaj reiterated that everyone is responsible for upholding the law. He warned that if anyone disrespects the law and does not surrender, police action will follow according to the law. He stressed the need for strict measures against crime and ensuring justice for victims.
