Arvind Kejriwal Summoned to Answer Questions at Delhi Assembly

New Delhi, March 3: Former Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, has announced that he has been summoned by the Delhi Assembly to answer questions. He stated that he has informed the Privileges Committee through a letter that he will be present on March 6 as per their summons.

In addition, Kejriwal criticized the Delhi government, highlighting the capital’s struggles with pollution and the lack of medicines in hospitals.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Kejriwal wrote about the dire situation in Delhi, mentioning broken roads and heaps of garbage everywhere. He reiterated that he has been summoned by the Assembly and has communicated his intention to appear before the Privileges Committee on March 6. He requested that the proceedings be live-streamed to ensure transparency.

In his letter, he acknowledged the summons dated February 18 under the rules of procedure and conduct of business of the Delhi Assembly, specifically sections 172 and 220. He confirmed that he would appear before the Committee of Privileges at the specified location at 3:00 PM on March 6. He emphasized that his appearance would not affect his legal and constitutional rights, which remain intact.

Kejriwal also noted that he had recently been acquitted in the liquor policy case alongside Manish Sisodia. Following this, the Aam Aadmi Party organized a public rally at Jantar Mantar, where Kejriwal continued to criticize the government, asserting his commitment to integrity.
