Anand Dubey Urges Congress to Avoid Actions Harmful to National Interests

Mumbai, February 28: Anand Dubey, a leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), addressed the youth Congress protests at the AI Summit held in Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. He emphasized that while democracy allows for protests and strikes, there are limits to such actions. He advised Congress to steer clear of activities that could harm the country’s interests.

In an interview in Mumbai, Dubey cautioned Congress against actions that could damage the nation’s image, especially during sensitive issues or significant events with guests in attendance. He stated that in the future, Congress should avoid actions detrimental to national interests. He acknowledged that while the Constitution grants the right to criticize government policies, there are appropriate ways to protest. He stressed that opposing AI is unwise, as AI is pivotal for global direction, and expressed confidence that India will advance assertively.

Commenting on the acquittal of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy case, Dubey remarked that whenever the BJP feels threatened, it resorts to using agencies like the ED and CBI against its opponents. He noted that this has happened to figures like Hemant Soren, Sanjay Raut, and others, who ultimately get acquitted. The court recognized Kejriwal’s integrity, stating that no leader is more honest than him, which has unsettled the BJP. Dubey accused the government of attempting to undermine Kejriwal’s political career through these agencies.

Dubey also mentioned that there is no objection to the Special Investigation Report (SIR), but it should be conducted properly. He highlighted issues during the Bihar elections where over 5.5 million names were removed from the voter list, leading to a Supreme Court case. With elections approaching in West Bengal, he warned that if the voter list is not updated correctly, it would reflect poorly on the Election Commission. He noted that when Mamata Banerjee questions the Election Commission, BJP leaders respond, and if there are discrepancies in the voter list, the purpose of the SIR becomes questionable.
