Beijing, June 8: Recent data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reveals a significant growth in the country’s software sector. In the first four months of this year, the software industry generated a revenue of 4.668 trillion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 10.9%.
During this period, revenue from software products reached 1.046 trillion yuan, which is an 8% rise compared to the previous year, accounting for 22.4% of the total industry revenue.
Additionally, the revenue from information technology services amounted to 3.133 trillion yuan, reflecting a 12% year-on-year increase and representing 67.1% of the overall industry revenue.
Notably, the income from cloud computing and big data services reached 534.4 billion yuan, showing a 12.6% growth year-on-year. Furthermore, revenue from integrated circuit design stood at 142.8 billion yuan, which is an impressive increase of 18.3% compared to last year.
