Lucknow, June 15: Uttar Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party’s national president, Akhilesh Yadav. He stated that the significant defeats of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar and the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, coupled with the historic victory of the BJP, have increased Yadav’s anxiety. Maurya emphasized that Yadav is so disheartened that he perceives a bleak future for his party in Uttar Pradesh, prompting him to make irresponsible statements and resort to threatening politics due to his despair.
In a post on the social media platform X, Maurya remarked that the BJP’s historic win has deepened the furrows on Akhilesh Yadav’s forehead. He noted that Yadav’s despair has led him to believe that the future of his ‘pocket’ party in Uttar Pradesh appears dim. This sense of hopelessness, according to Maurya, is why Yadav has resorted to making irresponsible remarks and adopting a threatening tone.
Maurya asserted that democracy is at the core of India. Elections occur not at the whim of any party but according to the Constitution every five years. The public is the ultimate decision-maker. He expressed confidence that the BJP’s lotus will continue to bloom with the vision of a developed India by 2047, while the politics of negativity and despair will only weaken the Samajwadi Party further.
Earlier, Deputy CM Maurya commented on X that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is dreaming of a bright future for 2029, while the nation is rapidly progressing towards the vision of a developed India by 2047. He noted that the public has recognized the reality of dynastic politics, appeasement, and hollow promises. The country has repeatedly shown unwavering faith in the development, good governance, and strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He further stated that Congress is searching for its lost political ground, while the Samajwadi Party is struggling to maintain its existence in Uttar Pradesh. The influence of both parties has weakened to such an extent that they now lack a foothold or a base. In this context, any talk of power from them is akin to someone sitting in a leaky boat without a paddle, deluding themselves into thinking they can conquer the sea.
