Patna, April 14: Central Minister Chirag Paswan commented on Nitish Kumar’s resignation from the Chief Minister position, stating that today marks a significant day for Bihar. He emphasized that this moment signals both the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for the state.
During a media interaction in Patna, Paswan noted that Nitish Kumar’s leadership over the past two decades has transformed Bihar from a state plagued by ‘jungle raj’ to its current state. He expressed optimism for a new, developed Bihar, anticipating that the incoming Chief Minister will continue to leverage Kumar’s experience to further the state’s progress.
Paswan criticized the opposition, accusing them of making personal attacks against the former Chief Minister. He highlighted their attempts to undermine Kumar’s health and governance while now feigning concern for him. He remarked that the opposition remains engaged in political maneuvering even at this critical juncture.
He asserted that Bihar needs a Chief Minister with a vision for development, one who is dedicated to enhancing the prosperity of the state and its people. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and its supporters are committed to this vision of leadership.
Following his resignation, Nitish Kumar posted on X, stating that his administration has accomplished significant work for the people of Bihar. He mentioned that he had decided to step down and submitted his resignation to the Governor after a cabinet meeting. Kumar assured that he would fully support and guide the new government, expressing confidence that Bihar will continue to progress.
