Mumbai, April 14: Political tensions are rising in Noida as workers protest for wage increases. On Tuesday, Dimple Yadav, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party, targeted the Uttar Pradesh government, accusing it of neglecting the issues faced by the people. She stated that when citizens are troubled, it is natural for them to become agitated.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav expressed her disappointment, saying, “It is very disheartening. The government should listen to the workers, but the current administration ignores their concerns and even resorts to violence against them. This government is a source of pain for everyone.”
Regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill, Yadav noted, “Discussions on this bill will begin on April 16. The bill has already been passed, so why is it being introduced with changes? Why is the government using the 2011 census? They had promised to conduct a caste-based census, so why is that not happening? We want a new census to be conducted, which should guide the delimitation and reservation process.”
She added, “The BJP always comes up with new strategies before elections. Before the 2017 elections, they introduced demonetization, misleading people into believing it would eliminate black money and eradicate terrorism and poverty. However, serious terrorist incidents have continued, such as those in Pulwama and Pahalgam.”
Yadav extended her wishes for Ambedkar Jayanti, stating, “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar has always been a socialist. He advocated for the rights of the marginalized, Dalits, and oppressed communities. The socialist ideology aligns with Ambedkar’s principles. The BJP has been in power for three terms and has continuously exploited the people. They have demolished temples and idols during elections, and today they must be realizing their mistakes. Socialists have always aligned with Ambedkar’s ideology.”
