Weather Stability in NCR Before Strong Winds Arrive on March 1

Noida, February 28: The weather in the National Capital Region (NCR) remains stable for now. According to the meteorological department, no significant changes are expected in the weather in the coming days. However, strong surface winds are forecasted to begin on March 1.

This change will gradually increase temperatures, making daytime heat feel more intense. The latest report from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates that on February 28, the maximum temperature reached 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius. Light fog was present in the atmosphere during the morning hours.

The weather department has not issued any warnings for this day. On March 1, the maximum temperature is expected to remain at 31 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 15 degrees Celsius. Light fog is also anticipated in the morning. Humidity levels may range from a maximum of 80 percent to a minimum of 30 percent.

On March 2, the maximum temperature is again expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 15 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds will be present during the day, yet no official warnings have been issued. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in NCR is gradually increasing.

In Noida, the AQI readings are 255 in Sector 125, 205 in Sector 1, 182 in Sector 62, and 304 in Sector 116. In Ghaziabad, the AQI is 315 in the Loni area, 276 in Indirapuram, 233 in Vasundhara, and 200 in Sanjay Nagar. In Delhi, Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 332, Chandni Chowk at 276, Bawana at 244, Ashok Vihar at 237, and Alipur at 219. Many areas are experiencing air quality levels categorized as ‘poor’ to ‘very poor.’

According to the weather department, people are beginning to feel mild warmth during the day due to strong sunlight. A gradual increase in maximum and minimum temperatures is expected in the coming days. However, the strong winds starting on March 1 may help control pollution levels to some extent.
