VHP Focuses on Upliftment and Service Initiatives: Milind Parande

Jodhpur, June 12: Milind Parande, the National General Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), discussed the organization’s activities and future plans during his visit to Jodhpur. He emphasized that the VHP is continuously working for the welfare, empowerment, and upliftment of society both in India and abroad.

Parande stated that the organization aims to improve the living standards of marginalized communities through various social, cultural, educational, and service-related programs.

In a conversation with the media, he highlighted that since its inception, the VHP has been dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged and weaker sections of society. Currently, the organization operates over 6,500 service projects across the country, focusing on education, health, and employment. These initiatives aim to integrate needy individuals into the mainstream and make them self-reliant.

He particularly mentioned the efforts made for the rehabilitation and upliftment of Pakistani Hindus seeking refuge in India. For years, the VHP has been assisting families that have migrated from Pakistan to India. Thanks to the organization’s efforts, over 3,000 Pakistani Hindus have successfully obtained Indian citizenship. In addition to citizenship, various initiatives have been launched to socially and economically empower these families.

Parande noted that the organization has made significant efforts to grant over a hundred trained Hindu doctors the right to practice medicine in India. The VHP plans to focus on the education, skill development, and social upliftment of children from these families in Jodhpur and other regions.

Currently, the VHP is active in nearly 30 countries outside India. He cited Nepal as an example, where some international NGOs have attempted to influence the Hindu community towards conversion. To counter this, the VHP operates cultural schools and other social programs in over a thousand villages in Nepal to keep the local Hindu community aware and culturally strong.

Looking ahead, Parande mentioned that the VHP plans to expand its outreach in the coming years to strengthen its influence among the Hindu community both domestically and internationally. An all-India meeting of the VHP is scheduled to take place in Uttar Pradesh this June. This important meeting will discuss the organization’s upcoming strategies, expansion of service activities, social programs, and various national and international issues.
