Ujjain, July 29: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain for anyone wishing to deeply understand the ancient Indian knowledge tradition. Speaking at the ‘Guru Tradition Lok Parv Shraddha Samaroh’ held at the ashram on Guru Purnima, he highlighted the significance of the guru-disciple tradition, the Indian knowledge system, and the historical importance of Sandipani Ashram.
During his address, CM Yadav stated that to truly grasp the essence of ancient Indian wisdom, one must visit Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain. He noted that in Indian tradition, the guru is revered even above God, and Ujjain is the city where God Himself came to learn. The knowledge imparted by Maharishi Sandipani to Lord Krishna is what made him the Jagatguru.
The Chief Minister remarked that the government is committed to preserving and advancing this glorious tradition. Development projects are underway in Ujjain, focusing on literature, art, and culture in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha 2028 festival. People from all religions are collaborating on these development efforts.
Legislator Anil Jain Kaluhera praised CM Mohan Yadav’s leadership, stating that Ujjain continues to receive numerous development initiatives. Plans are in place to establish Sandipani Lok and Kal Bhairav Lok soon. Additionally, there are proposals to create a university for Ayurvedic medicine in Ujjain.
