Beijing, July 30: According to recent data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the total value of social logistics in China reached 1,811 trillion yuan in the first half of this year. This marks a 5.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
In the first six months of this year, the logistics industry’s total revenue in China was 72 trillion yuan, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 4.7%. China Railway transported 201.5 million tons of goods, exceeding last year’s figures by 1.8%.
The civil aviation sector completed the transport of 5.073 million tons of goods, which is over 6% higher than the previous year. The express delivery sector reported revenues of 771.41 billion yuan, up 7.3% from the same period last year.
The total value of logistics for industrial goods in China increased by 5.4% compared to last year, while online sales figures rose by 4.8%.
Liu Yuhang, director of the China Logistics Information Center, stated that demand for logistics in China has remained strong in the first half of this year. Emerging drivers such as high-level manufacturing, green and low-carbon initiatives, and cross-border e-commerce are playing a significant role in boosting economic growth.
