UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam Set for June 8-10 with 2.9 Million Candidates

Lucknow, June 7: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will conduct the Constable Civil Police recruitment examination on June 8, 9, and 10 across 75 districts in the state. Approximately 2.9 million candidates are expected to participate. The exam will be held in two shifts: the first from 10 AM to 12 PM and the second from 3 PM to 5 PM.

Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj, DIG and examination controller of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, stated in an interview, “This examination is being conducted for 32,679 constable positions. A total of 1,183 examination centers have been established throughout the state. We have implemented strict measures to ensure the exam is conducted in a completely fair, transparent, and cheat-free environment.”

The DIG added, “We have established a three-tier control system to monitor all centers. Biometric verification, CCTV monitoring, and a real-time command and control system will ensure strict oversight of the entire examination process. Adequate security personnel have been deployed at all centers, and the examination venues have been sanitized.”

Candidates are advised to bring only their admit cards, photo identification, and a blue or black ballpoint pen to the exam center. Bringing any other items such as mobile phones, watches, bags, or books is strictly prohibited. A strong warning has been issued to prevent cheating and unauthorized assistance during the examination.

Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj warned that under new laws, those involved in solver gangs and cheating mafias could face 7 to 14 years in prison, with repeat offenders facing life sentences and hefty fines. “We will not tolerate any form of misconduct,” he emphasized.

He also cautioned against spreading rumors on social media, urging everyone to refrain from disseminating misleading or fake news. Candidates, parents, and the general public are encouraged to avoid falling for temptations or misleading information and to report such cases immediately via the helpline or email.

Pankaj noted that over 30,000 CCTV cameras have been installed across the state to monitor the examination. Special instructions have been issued to all district officials to ensure the examination proceeds smoothly and peacefully. This recruitment exam presents a significant employment opportunity for youth in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Candidates are urged to prepare diligently and maintain discipline at the examination centers.
