Begusarai, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Union Minister and Begusarai MP Giriraj Singh has received a death threat through an anonymous letter sent to his office in New Delhi. Following this alarming development, an FIR has been lodged at the Begusarai Town Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
According to police reports, the threatening letter arrived at Singh’s ministry office on September 3. The letter allegedly contained threats to his life and mentioned terrorists.
Singh’s personal secretary, Yogendra Singh, promptly informed the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Begusarai about the letter. In response, the SP’s office directed the Begusarai Town Police Station to register a case. Consequently, an FIR was filed on September 4 based on the complaint by Town SHO Satish Kumar Himanshu.
Authorities are working to trace the sender of the letter and uncover the motivations behind the threat. The police indicated that the letter was written in English and included two mobile numbers.
Additionally, it contained the name and address of an individual from a village in the Srinivaspur taluk of Kolar district, Karnataka. The FIR has recorded the sender as an unidentified suspect, noting the details provided in the letter, including names, addresses, and phone numbers.
Investigators are currently examining the mobile numbers and other information in hopes of identifying the sender. They are also verifying whether the details in the letter correspond to the individuals mentioned and if there is any connection to the threat.
Officials are committed to exploring all available leads to identify the sender and determine the reasons behind the threat. Further information is anticipated as the investigation progresses.
