Washington, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump stated that U.S. military actions have significantly impaired Iran’s military capabilities. He expressed confidence that the conflict with Iran would soon come to an end. Trump emphasized that the U.S. is closely monitoring Iran’s nuclear sites and maintains control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with GB News, Trump declared, “We have already won because they can no longer produce nuclear weapons.” He explained that the U.S. engaged in this conflict to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear arms.
Trump claimed that prior to the U.S. strikes on three nuclear facilities, Iran was just two to four weeks away from developing nuclear weapons. He asserted that these sites have been completely destroyed. The president noted that the U.S. is using its space surveillance capabilities to keep tabs on these nuclear locations and another site known as ‘Pickaxe Mountain.’
“We know who is going in and out of there,” Trump said. “From space, you can read a name badge.” He added that the materials from these three nuclear sites are now buried under millions of tons of debris, making recovery extremely challenging.
He also warned European nations that if Iran possessed nuclear weapons, the threat would be greater to Europe than to the U.S. In a conversation with British journalist Bev Turner, Trump remarked, “I am also protecting your country from this threat, because if Iran had nuclear weapons, it would be more likely to use them against Europe than against America.”
Trump claimed that the U.S. has defeated Iran’s navy and air force and has recently targeted its radar systems. “We control the Strait of Hormuz. We have strong control there,” he stated, adding that U.S. forces are neutralizing 30 to 40 boats each night, allowing significant amounts of oil to flow out.
He further mentioned that Iran’s economy is rapidly deteriorating, with inflation potentially reaching 300 percent. However, he did not provide any evidence to support this claim during the interview.
Defending the war, Trump emphasized the need to explain its purpose to American voters. “I did the right thing,” he asserted. He recalled that there was initial opposition to his actions in Venezuela, but success led to widespread acknowledgment of the decision’s merit.
Trump concluded that the damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear program would have lasting effects for decades to come.
