PM Modi Engages with Children During Metro Ride in New Delhi

New Delhi, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently shared a video on the social media platform ‘X’, showcasing his journey on the metro. In the post, he wrote, “Metro Moments, a conversation during my trip to the SRCC (Shri Ram College of Commerce) last evening and back.”

The video captures moments from Saturday evening as he traveled to and from the SRCC’s centenary celebration. During the ride, Modi interacted with fellow passengers, particularly children. He was seen shaking hands with young kids, asking for their names, and inquiring about their destinations. He even engaged them by asking, “Did you celebrate Janmashtami?” The children enthusiastically responded, “Yes, we did!”

Modi then invited some children to sit with him. One child noted that September 5 is Teacher’s Day, mentioning the late S. Radhakrishnan, who inspired many students in his time. The child expressed gratitude to Modi, saying, “But today we have you, who inspires all of India.”

Another child recited a Sanskrit shloka, greeting the Prime Minister with, “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu…” Modi’s warmth was evident as he patted a child’s head affectionately.

During the ride, a little boy approached Modi, saying he wanted to be like him. Modi smiled and replied, “Really?”

A woman from Chandouli also spoke with the Prime Minister, sharing that her family roots are in Kashi. Modi responded, “What do you think of Kashi?” She remarked on the rapid development of the area, to which Modi asked if the people of Kashi are happy with the progress. She affirmed with a “yes.”

Modi continued his discussions with students, asking them about their reading habits. When they mentioned they read novels and academic books, he encouraged them to also explore autobiographies and biographies.
