Bengaluru, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Bellary Chalo Padayatra’ has entered its sixth day in Karnataka, having already covered 100 kilometers. On Sunday, B.Y. Vijayendra, the BJP’s state president, commenced the day’s march with a ceremonial prayer in Gangavati. He expressed confidence in the overwhelming support received from various segments of society.
Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra stated, “Our padayatra has reached a significant milestone after six days. We are receiving tremendous backing from all sections of society, including farmers, women, and youth. Even senior citizens are joining us.”
He highlighted that the Chief Minister has been compelled to respond to their demands raised during the march. The BJP has called for the resignation of the corrupt sports minister, Nagendra, and has requested a special assembly session to discuss the issue of drought. In response, the Chief Minister has scheduled a special session from September 21 to 23.
Vijayendra added, “This session will address other critical issues as well, but we are pleased to see the impact of our padayatra. The people of Karnataka refer to the Chief Minister as the ‘Real Estate Chief Minister.’ He has even been forced to visit North Karnataka to discuss farmers’ concerns.”
Additionally, the state unit of the BJP shared on social media that the ‘Bellary Chalo Padayatra,’ led by Vijayendra, has successfully covered 100 kilometers, thanking all participants for their support.
