Ranchi, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : The unexpected death of Sudivya Kumar Sonu, a senior leader in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and a minister in the Jharkhand government, has cast a shadow over the state’s political and social landscape. Leaders from both the ruling party and the opposition have expressed profound sorrow, describing his passing as a significant loss to the political fabric of Jharkhand.
Health Minister Irfan Ansari expressed his deep grief, calling Sonu’s demise heart-wrenching. He stated that Sonu was like a brother to him, having worked together as cabinet ministers. Ansari noted that Sonu fought bravely during his illness but, unfortunately, could not be saved. The cherished memories and Sonu’s warm nature will remain alive in their hearts, he added, emphasizing that his untimely death is an irreplaceable loss for all.
Transport Minister Deepak Birua also mourned the loss of his colleague. He shared that Sonu passed away in the hospital after a sudden decline in health. Birua prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength for the grieving family to endure this sorrow.
Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das lamented Sonu’s sudden passing as extremely tragic. He prayed to Baba Baidyanath to grant the late leader a place in his divine abode and to provide comfort to the mourning family and supporters during this difficult time.
BJP state president Aditya Sahu described Sonu’s death as deeply saddening. He too prayed for the departed soul’s peace and for the bereaved family and supporters to find the strength to cope with their immense grief. BJP MP from Jamshedpur, Vidyut Varun Mahato, also expressed his condolences, stating that Sonu’s departure is a significant loss for Jharkhand’s political and social life. He prayed for peace for the departed soul and solace for the family and supporters during this challenging period.
