New Delhi, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Naveen, has directed newly appointed state in-charges and co-in-charges to prioritize strengthening the party at the grassroots level. During a meeting held at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, he emphasized the importance of spending more time in their respective states and avoiding unnecessary trips to the capital.
This meeting marked the first collective gathering of the newly appointed officials following recent organizational changes. The party has assigned new in-charges and co-in-charges for all 28 states and eight Union Territories, with around 65 officials participating in the session.
Naveen highlighted the need to bolster the organization, prepare for upcoming assembly elections, and enhance the party’s outreach among various social groups. He urged the officials to treat their responsibilities as a priority and place the interests of the organization above personal preferences.
According to sources, Naveen encouraged state in-charges and co-in-charges to regularly visit their states and maintain continuous communication with state units. He stressed the importance of conducting regular organizational meetings at the booth level and conveying feedback to the central leadership.
The officials were instructed to ensure that party programs and organizational activities extend beyond the state or district levels, effectively reaching the grassroots. Regular reviews of the organization’s operations were also mandated.
Special emphasis was placed on increasing engagement with women, youth, and diverse social groups. Officials were asked to consistently conduct programs initiated by the organization and maintain ongoing dialogues with various social segments.
The meeting also addressed the upcoming assembly elections. Naveen instructed the relevant in-charges to actively participate in election preparations through regular visits to the electoral states.
In light of the 2027 assembly election cycle, the BJP has recently undergone significant restructuring of its organizational framework. New in-charges and co-in-charges have been appointed across all states and Union Territories.
Sources indicated that a key message from Naveen was for officials assigned to any state to focus on organizational duties rather than spending excessive time in Delhi. Complaints had surfaced regarding some officials frequently visiting the capital for meetings with senior leaders, prompting Naveen to clarify the need for focus on their designated responsibilities.
The meeting was viewed as an important step towards energizing the party’s activities at the state level, especially in light of upcoming electoral challenges and various pressing issues in the country.
