New Delhi, September 5 (Kiran News) — Pakistan sealed their place in the final of the Tri-Nation T20 Series after defeating hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 31 runs in Sharjah on Thursday night. Pakistan will now face Afghanistan in the title clash on Sunday, September 7.

Batting first, Pakistan struggled early as Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Haris, and Hasan Nawaz all fell cheaply, leaving the side at 81/5 after 12 overs.
From there, Fakhar Zaman (77* off 44 balls) and Mohammad Nawaz (37* off 22 balls) staged a brilliant recovery with an unbeaten 91-run partnership. The duo launched a late assault, adding 42 runs in the last two overs. Nawaz struck three fours and a six in the 19th over, while Zaman hammered five consecutive boundaries in the final over, powering Pakistan to 171/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing 172, UAE got off to a steady start at 41 without loss. But leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed turned the match on its head, producing a match-winning spell of 4/9. His strikes reduced UAE from 72/1 to 102/5. Despite a fighting 68-run knock from Alishan Sharafu, UAE fell short as Shaheen Afridi and others tightened the screws. UAE ended their innings at 140/7 in 20 overs.
