Tragic Overdose at Mumbai Concert Claims Lives of Two Students

Mumbai, April 14: A tragic incident occurred during a music event in Mumbai on April 11, leading to the deaths of two students. Police investigations revealed that the students died from an overdose of drugs.

According to the Mumbai police, one of the deceased students consumed drugs in a cab before taking another tablet during the event, resulting in an overdose. Medical professionals have confirmed the overdose. In connection with the drug-related case, the police have arrested six individuals. A group of approximately 15-16 students from a prominent college in Mumbai attended the event.

Further investigations indicated that the two deceased students had indeed used drugs. Two other students have also been arrested, along with the supplier from whom the tablets were obtained. Authorities recovered 6-7 tablets from the suspect.

The investigation revealed that the drugs were sourced from outside Mumbai. The entry fee for the event was around 2000 rupees. Additionally, three individuals connected to the Nesco venue have been arrested, including a vice president of the event. The police are now probing the entire network to trace the extent of the drug supply connections.

According to police reports, a 24-year-old female student from a well-known MBA college and a 28-year-old male student lost their lives. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old female student remains in serious condition in the ICU.

On April 11, numerous students attended the concert held at the Nesco Grounds in Goregaon. Some students reportedly consumed drugs during the event. A forensic report is expected to clarify the situation further. Late Monday night, around midnight, students were admitted to a nearby trauma center due to breathing difficulties. Unfortunately, two students succumbed to their conditions during treatment.
