Dry Weather Predicted in Madhya Pradesh with Rising Temperatures

Bhopal, April 14: The weather center in Bhopal, under the India Meteorological Department, has reported that dry weather has prevailed in Madhya Pradesh over the past 24 hours, with no rainfall recorded across any division of the state.

According to the forecast for the next 24 hours, effective until 8:30 AM on April 15, dry conditions are expected in all districts, and no warnings have been issued. Clear skies are likely in Bhopal and surrounding areas, with average wind speeds ranging from 8 to 10 km/h. The maximum and minimum temperatures are projected to be around 41 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.

There has been no significant change in maximum temperatures across all divisions. In the Rewa division, temperatures were recorded at 2.0 degrees Celsius below normal, while other divisions remained average. However, the Shahdol division experienced a notable drop in minimum temperatures, which fell by 2.3 degrees Celsius. In the Bhopal division, minimum temperatures were 3.7 degrees Celsius below normal, while Rewa recorded a decrease of 2.1 degrees Celsius, with other divisions remaining average.

The highest maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ratlam, while the lowest minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius was noted in Pachmarhi, Narmadapuram district. Other significant minimum temperatures included 14.9 degrees Celsius in Karondi (Katni), 15.9 degrees Celsius in Kalyanpur (Shahdol), 16.6 degrees Celsius in Rewa, and 17.0 degrees Celsius in Rajgarh.

In terms of minimum temperatures, Narmadapuram recorded 25.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Kannod (Dewas) at 25.2 degrees Celsius and Sagar at 24.2 degrees Celsius. In Bhopal, the maximum temperature over the past 24 hours was 38.8 degrees Celsius, which is 0.5 degrees Celsius above normal, while the minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius, exceeding normal by 0.8 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday morning at 8:30 AM, the temperature was 31.4 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 29 percent.

Meteorological conditions indicate the presence of a cyclonic circulation over southeastern Pakistan and adjacent Rajasthan, along with a north-south trough extending from southern Assam to southern Tamil Nadu, and a strong subtropical westerly jet stream over northwestern India. A weak western disturbance is expected to arrive in the western Himalayan region from the night of April 15.

Weather experts have indicated that maximum temperatures across the state are likely to rise gradually by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next four days.

The India Meteorological Department has advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities between 12 PM and 3 PM, wear light cotton clothing, and protect themselves from direct sunlight. Special care should be taken for children, the elderly, and those with health issues.

Farmers have been urged to utilize the clear weather for harvesting, drying, and threshing rabi crops such as wheat and pulses, ensure safe storage of produce, and avoid burning crop residues.
