Lucknow, June 22: A devastating fire incident in the Aliganj area of Lucknow has prompted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to cancel all his government programs scheduled for Tuesday. Following a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister announced the formation of a two-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the meeting, chaired by CM Yogi, reviewed the situation of the accident and the ongoing rescue operations. As per his directives, the SIT will investigate the fire incident in detail and submit its report within seven days.

The SIT comprises Amrit Abhijat, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Tourism, Charitable, and Culture Department, and Praveen Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police for the Lucknow zone. The Chief Minister has instructed the team to conduct a thorough investigation and report back promptly.
