Mumbai, August 31: Four individuals have tragically lost their lives in Behdhna village, located in the Baidhn subdivision of Patna district. Bihar’s Agriculture Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, visited the site on Sunday to meet with the families of the deceased, offering his condolences and listening to their concerns. He also gathered detailed information from administrative officials regarding the incident and the current situation.
Local villagers suspect that the deaths were caused by toxic alcohol. Taking these concerns seriously, Minister Sinha ordered that the bodies of the deceased be sent for post-mortem examinations to determine the true cause of death.
Sinha stated that further actions would be based on the findings of the post-mortem reports. If the investigation confirms that the deaths were due to toxic alcohol, strict action will be taken against those responsible. He has instructed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Baidhn to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.
The minister also communicated with the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police in Patna to ensure a fair investigation and necessary actions. He emphasized that illegal alcohol trade in the state will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He warned that if any individual is found involved in the illegal alcohol trade during the investigation, they will face severe legal consequences. Meanwhile, the administration is closely monitoring the situation, and investigations into various aspects of the case are ongoing.
Expressing deep sympathy for the families of the deceased, Sinha assured them that the government stands with them during this difficult time. He has directed the administration to conduct a fair investigation and ensure strict action against the culprits as per the law.
It is reported that the four individuals fell seriously ill after consuming alcohol, leading to their hospitalization, where they ultimately succumbed to their conditions.
