Beijing, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : The Beijing Cultural Forum 2026 was inaugurated on September 23 in the Chinese capital. Li Shulei, a member of the Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the Central Committee’s Publicity Department, delivered the keynote address at the event. Yin Li, the Secretary of the Beijing Committee of the Communist Party, also participated and spoke at the forum.
Attendees, including both Chinese and international guests, expressed their support for President Xi Jinping’s global civilization initiative. This initiative aims to actively promote international cooperation in cultural heritage and encourages the construction of a shared future for humanity. Participants emphasized that cultural heritage is a collective asset of all humankind. The preservation, enhancement, and effective use of cultural heritage are essential for the continuity of human civilization and sustainable development worldwide, and they represent a shared responsibility.
The theme of the 2026 Beijing Cultural Forum is “Cultural Heritage and Mutual Learning among Civilizations.” More than 600 guests from 44 countries and regions attended the event, highlighting the global commitment to cultural dialogue and heritage.
