Beijing, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to make a state visit to the United States from September 23 to 25, at the invitation of President Donald Trump. This marks Xi’s return to the U.S. after three years and will coincide with reciprocal visits by both leaders within a six-month period.
This trip sends a positive signal to the world, indicating both nations’ commitment to advancing “constructive strategic stability” in their relations. This concept encompasses several key areas: positive stability focused on cooperation, solid stability characterized by restrained competition, manageable differences, and a promise of lasting peace.
A recent CGTN survey conducted with 12,000 respondents across 39 countries reveals that 75% believe stable China-U.S. relations are crucial for the international community. In developing nations, this figure rises to 78.3%, while 76.7% of American respondents share this sentiment.
Despite facing numerous challenges in trade, technology, security, and other sectors, the international community expects both China and the U.S. to resolve their differences through direct dialogue and enhance mutual trust. Stable relations between the two nations are essential for fostering greater certainty in global peace. The upcoming meeting between the two leaders is seen as vital for the welfare of both countries’ citizens and for global development and prosperity.
