Guna, July 20: A tragic accident occurred in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of three family members. The incident took place around 6 PM on the Guna-Gwalior highway (NH-46), near Bhadora village, within the jurisdiction of the Myana police station.
According to police officials, a speeding white Ertiga car collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying a man, his wife, and their young child. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was extensively damaged, and all three riders were thrown onto the road. Unfortunately, none survived the crash.
The deceased have been identified as Manoj Kushwaha (34), his wife Malti Kushwaha (30), and their son Kartik (7), who were pronounced dead at the scene.
This tragic event occurred near a small bridge on National Highway 46. Investigating officer Brijmohan Bhadauria reported that the victims were returning from the home of the wife’s parents.
Police officials, led by Brijmohan Bhadauria, arrived promptly at the scene after receiving the report. Despite efforts to save the victims, they were declared dead on-site. The bodies were later sent to Guna District Hospital for post-mortem, and the identification process is ongoing.
Authorities are in the process of notifying the victims’ relatives. The driver of the car has been taken into custody. During initial questioning, he claimed that the motorcycle appeared suddenly, leaving him no time to brake due to his high speed. The police have seized the vehicle and collected evidence from the scene.
A case has been registered, and further legal action will be taken once the victims’ families arrive. The SHO confirmed that the post-mortem is underway, the driver is being interrogated, and all necessary evidence has been gathered.
