New Delhi, August 9: In today’s fast-paced world, staying up late and waking up late has become common. However, this habit can lead to various health issues over time. According to Ayurvedic tradition, the advice is to rise during “Brahma Muhurta,” which is typically considered to be about two hours before sunrise. It is believed that starting the day correctly can have a positive impact on both the body and the mind.
The Ministry of Ayush recently shared on the social media platform X that Brahma Muhurta is a time when the environment is calm, fresh, and relatively clean. After a good night’s sleep, the body has received necessary rest, and the mind is ready to begin the day with renewed energy. The tranquil morning atmosphere is conducive to activities such as meditation, yoga, pranayama, and self-reflection.
According to Ayurveda, the regular habit of waking up early can help keep the mind more alert, focused, and calm. When the day begins without haste, individuals can better plan their essential tasks. Taking some time for oneself in the morning can also foster positive thinking and a sense of mental peace.
Engaging in light exercise, yoga, and pranayama in the fresh morning air is also considered beneficial. This helps the body feel active and allows for an energetic start to the day.
However, simply waking up early is not enough. It is equally important to go to bed on time and ensure adequate sleep. Forcing oneself to wake up too early without sufficient rest can lead to fatigue.
Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of each individual’s physical condition and health. Therefore, if someone is dealing with illness, weakness, sleep issues, or indigestion, it is advisable to consult a specialist before making significant changes to their routine.
