
Sultanpur, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic accident occurred on the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. The incident took place around 8 AM near Haliapur, close to the Ayodhya-Sultanpur border.
Authorities reported that the ambulance was transporting the body of an Indian Army Subedar from Chandigarh to Deoria when it collided with a stationary truck on the roadside. The collision left the ambulance severely damaged. Among the deceased were the ambulance driver, Jaspal, and three others: Rajan Singh, Gaurav Singh, and Ram Samaj.
Sultanpur’s Superintendent of Police, Vineet Jaiswal, stated that the police received a report of the accident via the emergency number 112. Initial reports indicated that the ambulance crashed into an unknown vehicle near the 79.6 milestone on the expressway. Local police quickly arrived at the scene, and senior officials also conducted an inspection.
According to Jaiswal, the ambulance was carrying the remains of Subedar Satyavan, along with the driver and family members. Unfortunately, all occupants of the ambulance lost their lives in the crash. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigation.
The local police confirmed that the deceased were residents of the Rudrapur area in Deoria district. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and directed officials to expedite relief and rescue efforts. He took to social media to share his sorrow over the unfortunate incident, extending his sympathies and urging officials to provide all possible assistance to the victims’ families.
Prayers were offered for the departed souls as the community mourns this tragic loss.
