Patna, March 28: Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, the national spokesperson for JDU, emphasized the need for a “Team India” approach during times of crisis, particularly in light of ongoing tensions in West Asia and the Gulf region.
He noted that the situation in West Asia is impacting the global economy, with inflation becoming evident worldwide. India is not immune to these effects.
Prasad stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government is managing the situation effectively. Measures such as ensuring crude oil supply, increasing refinery capacity, and ramping up LPG production have been implemented to help control the circumstances.
In Ranchi, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev remarked that India has been closely monitoring the situation since the onset of the Gulf crisis, appealing for peace from both sides. He described this as a testament to India’s strong foreign policy. According to him, Iran considers India one of its most trusted allies, while Israel regards India as an “all-weather friend.”
Shahdev also mentioned that a high-level committee has been formed under Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to oversee the situation.
Targeting the Congress party, Shahdev accused it of attempting to create an atmosphere of fear in the country, referencing discussions about potential lockdowns. He questioned why such a scenario would arise when India has sufficient reserves of LPG, petrol, and diesel, calling it merely a strategy to instill fear among the populace.
