Kamaljeet Sahrawat Criticizes AAPs Political Tactics

New Delhi, April 3: BJP MP Kamaljeet Sahrawat has responded to various issues surrounding Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha, including parliamentary disputes, the Women’s Reservation Bill, LPG availability, and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s electoral role.

In an interview, Sahrawat targeted the AAP, stating that many key figures associated with the party’s core ideals have distanced themselves over time. She mentioned Kiran Bedi, Yogendra Yadav, and Ashutosh, all of whom were once core members but have since parted ways.

She accused the party of having no room for dissent, asserting that anyone who speaks the truth is shown the door. Sahrawat described Chadha’s statements as serious, claiming that AAP engages in politics that reaches the “limits of oppression.”

Regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill, Sahrawat emphasized that it is a significant promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to half of the nation’s population. She noted that the government has already taken steps in this direction, and discussions will lead to its implementation. She expressed confidence that women in the country have long awaited this initiative, which will be a major step toward their empowerment.

Responding to Congress leader Kamal Nath’s comments on LPG availability, Sahrawat stated that there is currently no major shortage in the country, and people are regularly receiving gas cylinders. She acknowledged that the government has taken precautionary measures but criticized the opposition for attempting to create confusion on this issue. According to her, Nath’s statement reflects a denial of the actual situation, and the public has consistently supported the government during challenging times.

On Asaduddin Owaisi’s remarks about the ‘Miya Gamechanger’ in the Bengal and Assam elections, Sahrawat asserted that the real gamechanger in elections is the public. She expressed concern over the troubling situation in West Bengal, where incidents of violence and serious issues regarding the safety of party workers frequently arise. She advised Owaisi to respect the democratic process instead of categorizing the public into specific groups, as ultimately, it is the people who make the decisions.
