Suzuki Motorcycle India Achieves Record Sales in April 2026

Mumbai, May 3: Suzuki Motorcycle India celebrated a remarkable milestone in April 2026, achieving sales of 117,514 units. This figure marks a 4% increase compared to the same month last year. Notably, the company sold 98,004 units in the domestic market and exported 19,510 units, reflecting a 10% growth in exports.

The company also commemorated its successful 20 years of manufacturing in India. To celebrate this achievement, Suzuki hosted the ‘Suzuki Matsuri’ festival in Mumbai, where they launched new models and set two world records. The popular Burgman scooter garnered attention by establishing records for the largest gathering of a single model in one location and the highest number of deliveries in a single day.

Additionally, Suzuki’s revenue from spare parts rose by 14%, reaching ₹91.59 crores.

Launch of the New Burgman Street 125

The highlight of April was the launch of the new Burgman Street 125. This updated model features a lightweight chassis derived from the Access 125, making it 25% stronger and more stable than its predecessor. The design now includes stylish twin-pod LED headlights and revamped side panels, giving it a robust ‘maxi-scooter’ appearance.

Key Features of the New Burgman

In response to customer demand, Suzuki has equipped all Burgman variants with 12-inch tires. The 124cc engine now generates improved torque, enhancing performance in heavy city traffic. Acceleration from 30 to 60 km/h is now smoother, and the under-seat storage has been increased to 24.6 liters, accommodating helmets and essential items with ease.

Special Edition Avenis Launched

For tech enthusiasts, Suzuki introduced the ‘Ride Connect TFT’ edition, featuring a 4.2-inch color display that connects to smartphones. This model includes navigation, call alerts, and keyless ignition. Additionally, a special edition of the Avenis scooter was launched, showcasing sporty new colors like ‘Pearl Glacier White’ and ‘Metallic Ort Gray.’
