Hero MotoCorp Dominates Indian Market with 566,086 Units Sold in April 2026

Mumbai, May 3: Hero MotoCorp, a leading name on Indian roads, has kicked off the new financial year 2027 with a remarkable performance. In April 2026, the company sold a total of 566,086 vehicles, marking an impressive annual growth of 85.36%. This is a significant increase from the 305,000 units sold in April 2025, showcasing the unwavering trust of Indian customers in Hero’s robust and reliable vehicles.

The company has solidified its dominance in the domestic market by selling 532,433 vehicles, which accounts for 94% of its total sales. The demand is evident, with over 552,000 new Hero vehicles registered in April. However, there was a slight decline of about 5% in sales compared to March, following the end of the financial year.

In the motorcycle segment, Hero MotoCorp remains strong, selling approximately 501,791 bikes in April, which constitutes around 89% of total sales. The scooter segment, however, has seen a remarkable surge, with a 232% increase in sales. New models like the Hero Xoom have contributed to this growth, pushing scooter sales to 64,295 units.

Hero’s electric brand, VIDA, is also gaining traction. The company achieved a 129% growth in the electric segment compared to last year. To enhance its premium image, Hero is rapidly opening new showrooms across the country, adding 70 new touchpoints, including 132 ‘Premia’ outlets.

Furthermore, Hero MotoCorp’s export figures have soared, with a 99.34% increase year-on-year, reflecting the rising demand in international markets. The company has recently partnered in Ecuador to strengthen its foothold in South America. Overall, Hero MotoCorp continues to assert its leadership while posing a significant challenge to competitors in both the electric and premium segments.
